Shortly, I will update this page with the "final" iteration of the engraver. Right now I am working on both the execution and design of the modifications, so I appreciate your patience.

 


Here is a short list of the improvements:

  • Access ports in the side wall to tighten belts

  • Ventilation system that sucks the air from the top down to minimize effect of aluminum dust.

  • Black anodization of the entire enclosure

  • Electronics reorganization that makes some velcro mounts permanent

  • General cable management

  • Cable keepers under back wall support

  • 3D printed grommet for galvanometer and laser isolator cables

  • Full rigid sheath for fiber optics cable to minimize flexing

  • Rotational Axis (I am actually engaged in an experiment with this improvement right now. I am looking to be able to mark holographic images on stainless steel travel mugs for customer give-aways).
